Maxime Gatera is the Assistant Manger of the Kigali Reading Center and he spends much of his time in the different neighborhoods of Kigali distributing books and reading to the many children who now call him teacher. Maxime is a second year student at Mount Kenya University pursuing a degree in Finance.
When asked to say a word about what the KRC means for the communities he visits every day, Maxime responded saying that “the benefits of having a place where kids can come to learn English, interact with good quality educational material are welcome not only to these children, but their families as well. The impact of such a place goes beyond the neighborhood where the center is located.“
